2023.11.01 TTAM successfully became a AOTCA member

From October 31st to November 3rd, the " Asia Oceania Tax Consultants’ Association (AOTCA) 2023 Conference" was held in Tokyo, Japan. Represented by President Kathy Wong, The Taxation Association of Macau successfully became a member of AOTCA. Over 500 delegates from 14 countries and regions in Asia and Oceania, representing 19 formal member organizations, participated in the conference. Throughout the event, tax professionals and experts from various countries and regions engaged in extensive discussions on digital tax, enhancing tax compliance, taxation connected with environmental issues, taxation on crypto assets, and other topics related to the latest update on international taxation.

AOTCA was established in 1992 by 10 tax professionals’ bodies from Asian and Oceanic regions. It has since expanded to include 19 leading tax professional organizations from 14 countries/regions, comprising institutions from Australia, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Macau, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam, as well as two quasi-members from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

In the future, our association aims to strengthen collaboration with other tax professional organizations in Asia and Oceania through the AOTCA platform. We seek to share best practices, information, and stimulate discussions on international tax norms and related issues. This conference provided a valuable opportunity for representatives from different nations to learn from each other, exchange ideas, and share experiences in the realm of international taxation. Looking ahead, we anticipate delving deeper into various tax-related topics and fostering their development through the AOTCA platform.

Let us collectively look forward to AOTCA bringing us more collaboration and achievements in the future!
